Brooklyn Grange Sweetens the Pot

By Hannah

Our (and your) favorite local rooftop farm, Brooklyn Grange, has the kind of news that features salads and honey, which also happens to be our favorite kind of news. Starting this Saturday at Smorgasburg, the Grange launches its new salad with delicious lettuces and greens of all sorts and Ben Anastasia's famous (or soon-to-be) herb-puree dressing. Last week there were strawberries in there too, so it's wise to go back each week for whatever's, ya know, in season—this is local eating in the truest sense, straight from the farm in Long Island City.

Plus, this weekend the fruits of their successful rooftop bee-honey Kickstarter project see the sweet light of day. They'll be coupling the lovely nectar with regional cheeses, Roberta's breads, friends' granola, and whatever else those crazy kids can come up with that likes honey. Not to be missed.
