Booze cruise, Flea foods, cool dudes, and a cause that's gooood—these are the ingredients (all artisanal, obviously) that constitute the first-ever SmorgasBoat.
On Wednesday, June 13, an East River Ferry boat will depart for a sunset cruise around the Statue of Liberty with a cozy 150-200 friendly folks aboard; a couple hours later you'll be back on terra firma in Williamsburg, with the option of continuing on to the rooftop after-party at the lovely King & Grove hotel on McCarren Park. Here's what's on tap aboard the good ship Smorg: Brooklyn Brewery beer, Brooklyn Roasting Company coffee, a fabulous DJ selected by Nitehawk Cinema (we'll let you know who soon), Reyka Vodka, and lovely nibbles provided by our new friends at Benchmarc Restaurants.
