Flea Ink

Cabinet is one of the more fascinating publications out there, and we were thrilled to partner with them for their recent Cabinet Fair for Knowledge: Hair, part of Villa Gillet's "Walls and Bridges" series. The January fair within the Flea was a smash, providing countless conversations between writers, philosophers, historians and the general public on the topic of hair. Yes, hair. And apparently The New Yorker liked it too! The venerable magazine came by to explore all sorts of hirsute topics and gave the event an excellent write-up (registration/subscription required, or click the image above to read the whole piece). We love doing these kinds of smart special events, so if you ever have a wacky idea you want to present at the Flea, let us know by sending us an email.

In other news, Kings County Jerky Co., which joins the Fort Greene Flea on Saturdays starting April 2, gets a nice Time Out shout-out this week, following on their recent Times appearance. Check out their Bushwick pop-up shop if you get a chance.

And this Sunday morning look out for Don Wood of Fat Dog Fabrication on Fox & Friends, where he'll chat about using his SquareUp device for Flea transactions.
