Stuff+Things—Olde Good Things

DSCF6457.JPG

What: Antique Hog Oiler from 1918—and Flea guessing-game. A hog oiler is exactly what it sounds like: piggies would rub up against its grooved cast-iron mechanism to lube and soothe their skin. All weekend, Paul was pulling crowds of people trying to guess its function. (Many tried, many failed.)
Who: Olde Good Things, who come with the world-class architectural salvage and perfectly altered antiques.
How much: $400 for the oiler.
What else: A tiny sampling of the OGT treasure trove: antique glass doorknobs, refashioned farm tables, garden and patio furniture and ornaments, giant mirrors with frames made from old tin ceilings, those cool iron building stars, and so much more.
When+Where: Saturdays near the Clermont entrance, Sundays at One Hanson to the left of the entrance (check the layout), or online at OldeGoodThings.com.
