Yet another Flea vendor in the Times' sights, as Joe Heidecker (known to Fleasters as Jaybird Antiques) gets some love for his artwork on The Moment style blog. He refashions found images with beads, sequins, thread, and other sparkly bits to beguiling effect. Where does he score most of the vintage photos? At flea markets, naturally.

You can find friendly Joe and his groovy antiques in Fort Greene in L13 some Saturdays, and I-10 at the Bridge every Sunday. Great guy.

Joe's show is up at Johnson Trading Gallery, 490 Greenwich St. (btw Spring + Canal St.) in West Soho, through Sept. 30.
