Scavenger Hunt Items: September 14

Trans%20Am%20SH.jpgAretha%20SH.jpgWrecords%20SH.jpgTrove%20SH.jpg
The Hunt goes wild this Sunday. We have a slew of records and musicophilia to jibe with, yes, the Superstar DJ Record Fair. Plus a really nice vintage item that a (hint) new vendor was dying to contribute.

For newcomers, when you find the item, which can be hidden in any vendor booth, it's yours, absolutely free! Then we post your photo here on the blog on Monday. Only one winner per calendar month. Items posted every Friday at Noon.

Happy hunting!

I know you're not allowed to say anything negative about the Flea... but how can people spend the money they do at this place? (Though, actually, the couple times I've been I don't see a whole lot of cash being exchanged)

Go to a real flea market upstate or in NJ or CT... similar stuff, 1/2 the price and the possibility of actually getting a "deal." With some exceptions (like the bike guy), this is just boutiques moved onto pavement. Most of these folks have storefront too, don't they? Same prices? I can't think they can charge much more.

a lot of vendors offer discounts at the flea. when it first opened there were a few online (ie etsy) vendors that had tables so it was nice to put face to online store.

real flea markets fine. but i like walking over early and the day and having some tacos and shaved ice.

i see people that live on my block there. people i see on the train every day. local vendors. it's a nice community feel. and that part is real.

while i agree that some vendors are a little pricey, i also wouldn't have found out about them if it weren't for the flea. and also, if i were to head upstate or to nj or ct i'd have to rent a car which would nullify those 1/2 prices you're talking about.

just saying.
